When you combine a really cool project concept with our digital team and it involves something we can take to the range and shoot, it’s a win/win. In this case we worked with a new to market custom AR platform manufacturer to bring their vision of an online portal to not only buy, an AR15 but customize it with paint schemes. For this effort we utilized Microsoft Babylon 3d platform and a lot of custom code to wrangle a fully custom configurator. It included a ton of logic for what can be customized and what can’t and the costs increases based on customization and part added. In the end you can see what your paint will look like and hit “Order Now”. The project also includes the ability to store and share your configurations and allow someone else to buy your design.

To really allow a customer to define the design of their gun they need a tool that helps them visualize it.
It wasn't enough to provide reference and examples of designs, we needed to let the user select the options for the gun, design the color schemes and see it in 3D space to approve and validate it.
